For this Project: We Are MCA, students designed a personal logo representing their presence/experience in the MCA. The concept here is that separately each student has a voice/point of view, but together (when combining the prints in painting and other media), the images create a larger, inclusive representation or definition of MCA: a portrait of this ‘family’ , that is the Media Communications Academy.

Logo Design: A logo must be unique, simple, scalable and readable. After sketching ideas, the MCA’ers then created an Adobe Illustrator (a vector design program) version of the image, which would be the basis of their own silk screen.

The Projects: Students used their silkscreens to create their own prints, a large mural (on display in the Technology Building above rooms 343/344), t-shirts, video, and a web page (via School Loop: Departments: Media Communications Academy)
